What you’ll be doing

Process the timely and accurate entry of patient data and information retrieval for the Emergency Department Broken Hill Health Service.
This position will also provide necessary security assistance and/or responses for the Broken Hill Health Service.
Undertake administrative services including but not limited to the collection and collation of documentation for patient files, office equipment maintenance, daily reporting, and entering accurate data for patients ‘episodes of care’ from presentation to discharge or transfers.
Undertake security services such as monitoring of surveillance screens, guarding and/or protecting patients and/or staff, and responding to alarm signals and attendances.

Selection Criteria

Certificate in Business Administration or experience working in a similar role. Class 1A security license under the Security Industry Act, 1997.
Demonstrated high-level customer service and interpersonal skills including a positive attitude under pressure. The ability to build rapport fast, and provide service to customer satisfaction at all times.
Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Capacity to work with minimal supervision with a variety of staff and be a team player in a high-pressure. High-volume work environment.
Excellent communication skills, including excellent spelling. Confidence in the spoken word, and ability to deal confidently and courteously with people from diverse backgrounds.
Understanding of confidentiality and privacy requirements when dealing with personal demographic and medical information.
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
